Vietnam\u2019s global internet connectivity has returned to normal following the completion of repairs to the Asia Pacific Gateway (APG) undersea cable\u2014just in time for the country\u2019s five-day Reunification Day and May Day holiday starting Wednesday.<\/p>\n

According to an internet service provider, the APG cable\u2014responsible for connectivity issues since February\u2014has been fully repaired. Fixes were completed on the S9 segment to Singapore and the S1.9 segment to Malaysia, significantly improving access speeds for Vietnamese users relying on international services.<\/p>\n

The APG cable spans 10,400 kilometers and links nine countries and territories, including Vietnam, Japan, China, Malaysia, and Singapore.<\/p>\n

Vietnam\u2019s international internet infrastructure includes six major undersea cables: APG, IA, AAE-1, AAG, SMW-3, and ADC.<\/p>\n

Earlier, the Ministry of Science and Technology had called on domestic internet providers such as Viettel, VNPT, and FPT Telecom to boost bandwidth and strengthen their networks to prevent congestion and enhance connection stability.<\/p>\n
