Liverpool have welcomed three new arrivals at Anfield. Tall Mor Ndiaye and Noah Adekoya are expected to join the club this month.

                            Article continues under the video

Meanwhile, Liverpool have also struck an agreement with Ifeanyi Ndukwe. He will only join the club in the summer as he won’t turn 18-years-old until March, meaning he can’t sign for the club officially until the next transfer window as per FIFA rules.

All of these signings are going to be for the club’s U21 team. There’s no expectation that they will be immediately promoted to the first-team but Liverpool always offer a pathway and progression to their academy players so there will be opportunities for both Ndiaye and Adekoya to make their mark.

Especially because Liverpool’s current centre-back depth from now until the end of the season is quite thin.

But while there’s exciting arrivals at Liverpool, there’s also departures.

One player who is on his way out of the club is Scofield Lonmeni. The talented midfielder who is very highly rated was picked up at grassroots level in London.

He joined the club at 14-years-old and then made his way through the ranks. Lonmeni made 30 appearances for Liverpool’s U18 and U19 sides over the course of the last two seasons.

Now the 17-year-old is on the move. He joins Reading, where he had a trial and had already made five appearances for the club’s U18 team.

Lonmeni came back to the club’s academy complex in Kirkby to say his goodbyes this week, posing with the U18 squad and posting it on his Instagram story.

                © Instagram/@s.lonmeni08 – Scofield Lonmeni Liverpool goodbye

“Just like to thank all the staff for helping me be the person I am today and thank all my teammates for creating a bond I will hold for life, so thank you again @liverpoolfc,” Lonmeni’s caption read.

It’s a disappointment to lose a very talented midfielder who was also able to play in a number of different positions.

Lonmeni is going to have a great career in the game and he’s at the perfect place to develop.

Reading have an impressive academy and like to promote young players. Some of their academy graduates include the likes of Michael Olise and Eberechi Eze.

Lonmeni’s goal will be to follow the same pathway. If he does, one day he could easily make a return to Anfield and don the red jersey again.

🔴 Shop the LFC 2025/26 adidas home range

👉🏻 A new centre-back is COMING to Liverpool

👉🏻 Liverpool finally replace Trent Alexander-Arnold with brilliant playmaker

👉🏻 Centre-back confirms he’s ready to join Liverpool

© IMAGO – Arne Slot Richard Hughes Liverpool Transfers 2024-25 A very talented midfielder has said goodbye to…

[8815
748,393,4884,179,1127,16,15
0":"post-685916","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-liverpool","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-liverpool","12":"tag-liverpool-transfer-news","13":"tag-uk","14":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
