A unique formation of planes were spotted flying over Manchester city centre\"Plane<\/p>\n

A number of planes have been spotted flying in an apparent formation over Manchester today. The aircraft were reported to have been seen flying across Bury<\/a> and Manchester city centre on Friday afternoon (January 9).<\/p>\n

A video sent to the M.E.N shows six aircraft flying above Oxford Street in Manchester City Centre<\/a>, at around 4pm today. Since being seen, these aircraft appear to have also caused intrigue with many plane spotters who have suggested the sighting to be quite unusual.<\/p>\n

Others also reported spotting the machines flying over Bury earlier today. On X, one plane spotter, @RossPartin34657, claimed to have seen the planes flying over Manchester and Bury.<\/p>\n

Posting an image of the sighting to X, they wrote: “Just took this photo, of what looks like six planes in flying in formation over Manchester\/bury – RAF or USAF?”<\/p>\n

Posting on the Facebook page Flightradar 24 Flight Spotters, another plane spotter, David Hartley, claimed to have seen the aircraft over Bury. On the Facebook page he wrote: “Never seen this before. Any ideas as to why they appear to be flying side by side.”<\/p>\n
