{"id":685924,"date":"2026-01-10T03:53:11","date_gmt":"2026-01-10T03:53:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/685924\/"},"modified":"2026-01-10T03:53:11","modified_gmt":"2026-01-10T03:53:11","slug":"man-36-fighting-for-life-after-being-injured-at-demolition-site-in-paisley","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/685924\/","title":{"rendered":"Man, 36, fighting for life after being injured at demolition site in Paisley"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A man is fighting for his life in hospital after an incident at a demolition site in Paisley<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Emergency services were called to a report of an injured person at the site on Waverley Road at around 9.15am on Friday<strong>. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A Scottish Ambulance trauma and special operations team attended, and a 36-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.<\/p>\n<p>His condition has been described as critical.<\/p>\n<p>A cordon has been erected at the road and adjacent footpath at Durrockstock Road, and the public has been urged to avoid the area.<\/p>\n<p>The Health and Safety Executive have been informed.<\/p>\n<p>A Police Scotland spokesperson said: \u201cOfficers and emergency services were called to a demolition site on Waverley Road in Paisley on Friday, January 9, after a man was injured.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe 36-year-old was taken to hospital where hospital staff describe his condition as critical.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAn investigation into the circumstances remains ongoing, and the Health and Safety Executive have been informed.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA cordon remains in place, and the public should avoid the area.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A Scottish Ambulance Service spokesperson added: \u201cWe received a call today to attend an incident on Waverley Road in Paisley.
