Kell Brook has confirmed that news of a Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship fight with Aaron Chalmers is categorically false.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 39-year-old hasn’t stepped foot inside the squared circle since knocking out rival Amir Khan in the sixth round<\/a> of their blockbuster bout in February 2022.<\/p>\n

But on Thursday, it was announced that he would be making his debut in Conor McGregor<\/a>‘s promotion.<\/p>\n

Chalmers, Geordie Shore star turned mixed martial artist, uploaded a poster of him and Brook<\/a> suggesting they were set to fight this year in BKFC.<\/p>\n

He captioned the post: \u201c2026 off to a flyer.”<\/p>\n

Brook has since uploaded a video in response to Chalmers’s announcement, suggesting he was just as shocked at the news<\/a> as everyone else was.<\/p>\n

The former IBF welterweight champion said: \u201cI\u2019m getting a lot of messages about this BKFC.<\/p>\n

“But, there\u2019s absolutely no truth in me fighting in BKFC. <\/p>\n

“Absolutely no truth. It\u2019s all lies.\u201d<\/p>\n

In September, Brook was reportedly considering a move from boxing to bare-knuckle, after he said he was struggling with retirement.<\/p>\n

His trainer, Dominic Ingle<\/a>, told Boxing King Media: “Kell Brook<\/a>\u00a0called me up the other day…<\/p>\n

“And he’s been offered money to [fight] in bare-knuckle boxing.<\/p>\n

“Frankie Gavin has done it,\u00a0Liam Williams<\/a>\u00a0might be doing it and\u00a0James DeGale<\/a>.”<\/p>\n

But as it stands, Brook has no imminent plans to join their roster.<\/p>\n

Will Kell Brook fight again?<\/p>\n

Almost four years after he hung up his gloves, Brook is now gearing up to return to the ring<\/a> for an exhibition bout on February 13.<\/p>\n

During his hiatus, Brook has been linked to making a comeback against the likes of Chris Eubank<\/a> Jr and Conor Benn<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But the ‘Special One’ is stepping up to fight Eisa Al Dah in a tribute to the late Ricky Hatton<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hatton was set to make his comeback<\/a>\u00a0to the sport in November last year.<\/p>\n

But the boxing legend tragically passed away<\/a> before he had the chance.<\/p>\n

All of the proceeds from Brook’s bout will go to The Ricky Hatton Foundation<\/a>, which is a charity that is set up to support athletes who are struggling.<\/p>\n
