Radiohead singer and electronic musician’s collaborative album Tall Tales out May 9<\/p>\n
\n\tThom Yorke<\/a> and Mark Pritchard<\/a> have shared the new song \u201cGangsters,\u201d the latest single from their upcoming collaborative album Tall Tales.<\/p>\n \n\tAs with every track from the LP, \u201cGangsters\u201d was paired with a video by visual artist Jonathan Zawada. \u201cI was unsure about \u2018Gangsters\u2019 until [Zawada] did the video,\u201d Pritchard told Rolling Stone in a recent interview<\/a>. \u201cWhen he did the video, then it actually finally made sense to me. There\u2019s a lot of that going on.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \n\tAs Pritchard also revealed in the interview, the distinctly Eighties, 8-bit sound on \u201cGangsters\u201d was created using a\u00a0Mattel Bee Gees [toy] synthesizer<\/a>. \u201cI think Thom was almost shocked when I showed him what it was,\u201d the electronic musician said, adding that the Radiohead singer also contributed music to the track in addition to his warped vocals.<\/p>\n \t\tTrending Stories<\/p>\n \n\t\u201cI think [Yorke] enjoys doing that stuff as much as he does singing, and I guess sometimes more than singing. He actually added quite a lot of stuff. In \u2018Gangsters,\u2019 there\u2019s a mad percussive synth riff that comes into that. He added that. He likes having fun playing synthesizers and whatever he can.\u201d<\/p>\n \n\tYorke and Pritchard previously shared the first singles, \u201cBack in the Game<\/a>\u201d and \u201cThis Conversation Is Missing Your Voice<\/a>,\u201d from Tall Tales, arriving May 9.
