Pep Guardiola picked a formidable XI to face the League One side and was rewarded with a comfortable win.<\/p>\n
Young defender Max Alleyne got City up and running before Rodri smashed in a second, and two more goals late in the first half were followed by a triple substitution after the break. Antoine Semenyo then picked up a goal and assist on his full debut for the club before being replaced by Jeremy Doku with half an hour to go as City showed no mercy.<\/p>\n
Tijjani Reijnders curled in from the edge of the box, Nico O’Reilly headed in and Ryan McAidoo lashed home before George Birch grabbed a late consolation and Rico Lewis added a tenth.
