Armed officers<\/a> descended on a capital supermarket after an alleged weapon incident<\/a>. A video of the scene was shot at the Tesco Extra store in Corstorphine<\/a>, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n

A massive police presence was recorded at the shop on Friday January 9. Several police vehicles can be seen at the front of the superstore.<\/p>\n

A string of officers were present at the scene. Among the cops at the Tesco were black-clad armed officers, the Daily Record reports.<\/a><\/p>\n

Police were called to the store on Meadow Place Road just after 4pm after concerns were raised for a woman with an alleged weapon. A 20-year-old woman was arrested and charged in connection.<\/p>\n

In a video clip of the police response, one officer can be seen directing the person filming away from the scene as shoppers look on, pushing trolleys around the police vans.<\/p>\n

Police Scotland told the Record armed officers attended as a precaution. The 20-year-old woman has since been released on an undertaking to appear at court at a later date.<\/p>\n

A spokeswoman told the Record: \u201cAround 4.10pm on Friday, January 9, we received a report of concern for a person with a weapon at Meadow Place Road, Edinburgh.<\/p>\n
