Liverpool have been joined by Chelsea and Arsenal in the race to sign highly-rated Rennes defender Jeremy Jacquet.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Jacquet<\/a> has been a regular starter at the back for Rennes this season after extending his contract with the club in the summer to 2029.<\/p>\n

He has made 15 appearances for the sixth-placed Ligue 1 side so far in 2025-26, and his performances have caught the eye of a number of top clubs ahead of a potential move soon.<\/p>\n

Liverpool have registered an interest in Jacquet<\/a> ahead of January, with Arne Slot<\/a> aiming to bolster his options at centre-back.<\/p>\n

As I revealed on the latest edition of Football Insider\u2019s Inside Track podcast<\/a><\/strong>, the Reds are not the only Premier League club keeping tabs on the 20-year-old\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n

Arsenal<\/a> lead the way in the Premier League right now, with Liverpool<\/a> in fourth place, while new Chelsea<\/a> boss Liam Rosenior has inherited a team sat in eighth as it stands.<\/p>\n

All three clubs could look to add to their respective defensive depth in the January window, with Jacquet a known target for each, as well as Man City<\/a> and Real Madrid.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Inside Track podcast<\/strong>, I explained: \u201cJacquet is a player who\u2019s on the radar of a number of top clubs across Europe, earning a very big reputation at Rennes and in Ligue 1. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s established himself as one of the best young defenders in France right now as well, but there\u2019s going to be intense competition for his signature. <\/p>\n

\u201cYou\u2019ve got the likes of Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Real Madrid, all looking at Jacquet as well, so yeah, it\u2019s not going to be a straightforward one for Liverpool.\u201c<\/p>\n

Liverpool, Arsenal and Man City are also after Marc Guehi<\/p>\n

The January window is now in full swing, but Crystal Palace star Guehi<\/a> still faces an uncertain future amid continued high-profile interest in his services.<\/p>\n

Guehi was close to joining Liverpool<\/a> in the summer, but his move to Merseyside collapsed on deadline day, and he is now just a few months away from the end of his contract at Selhurst Park.<\/p>\n

Football Insider<\/strong> have revealed that Man City plan to submit an offer for Guehi<\/a> soon worth around \u00a320million, while Liverpool would prefer to sign him in the summer and Arsenal retain an interest.<\/p>\n
