As well as owning many green spaces around the city, Wade\u2019s provides grant funding to Leeds-based charities for a range of activities.<\/p>\n<p>Wade\u2019s has supported various groups involved with community projects for the youth, the elderly and the arts over the last 12 months.<\/p>\n<p>Projects supported range from funding day trips for elderly community groups, grants for improving facilities for clubs and youth groups,\u00a0aiding improvements to amenities and diversity at green spaces or parks, youth clubs events, sports sessions, family support and help for people with physical or learning disabilities.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/gotts-park-mansion.jpg\" alt=\"gotts park mansion\" class=\"wp-image-80219\"  \/>Grade II Listed Gotts Park Mansion, formerly known as Armley House, was built in 1781. Photo: Wade\u2019s Charity<\/p>\n<p>Applications must come from a registered charity, exempt or excepted charities or industrial and provident societies plus must meet one of either two more purposes \u2013 offering recreational opportunities for people in the city or it must be related to the use of public open space.<\/p>\n<p>Trustees of Wade\u2019s Charity meet three times a year to review grant applications and agree funding from their main Grants Programme.
