Scott, 42, approached Iain Carlton of Kilts 4 U with his request to mark 20 years of starring in and producing Singin\u2019 I\u2019m No A Billy, He\u2019s A Tim.<\/a> Des Dillon\u2019s stage play explores what happens when a Celtic<\/a> fan and a Rangers<\/a> fan are locked up together on the day of an Old Firm match. It \u00adultimately finds they have more in common than they thought.<\/p>\n

Scott said: \u201cI\u2019ve been surrounded by this \u00adfootball rivalry for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I shared a room with my brother. I was Rangers and he was Celtic. We had a divide right up the middle, with posters on either side.<\/p>\n

\u201cBilly and Tim has played a huge part in my life over two decades. I\u2019ve worn a half-and-half top but I thought, \u2018Wouldn\u2019t it be great to have a kilt?\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cIain has secured the contract for the two kilts \u2013 it\u2019s the first time one person has had both tartans<\/a> \u2013 and that\u2019s why I was able to do a half and half. It\u2019s a fun way of highlighting the show to the world and getting the positive message across.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Old Firm kilt was made with the blessing of both Glasgow clubs after Kilts 4 U secured the licences for the Celtic FC <\/a>and Rangers FC <\/a>Highlandwear collections and was woven at a mill in Perthshire.<\/p>\n

Scott, who grew up in Rutherglen, Lanarkshire, loves bringing Old Firm supporters together.<\/p>\n

Billy and Tim<\/a> has become one of Scottish theatre\u2019s biggest recent successes, with Scott recently recruiting former Celtic<\/a> and Rangers<\/a> stars including Simon Donnelly, Jackie McNamara, David Robertson and Charlie Miller for cameo roles.<\/p>\n

He has even run anti-sectarian workshops at schools and youth groups. Scott hopes to wear the kilt in April\u2019s New York Tartan <\/a>Day parade.<\/p>\n

He also believes the design would be perfect for a wedding with split football loyalties.<\/p>\n

Scott said: \u201cIf there\u2019s a Celtic and a Rangers supporter planning a wedding, I\u2019d love to hear from them.
