{"id":688807,"date":"2026-01-11T11:36:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-11T11:36:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/688807\/"},"modified":"2026-01-11T11:36:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-11T11:36:16","slug":"kirkstall-arcade-features-in-new-prince-naseem-movie-starring-pierce-brosnan","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/688807\/","title":{"rendered":"Kirkstall arcade features in new Prince Naseem movie starring Pierce Brosnan"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Arcade Club Leeds has been featured in the new Prince Naseem Hamed biopic\u00a0Giant, with the film\u2019s production spending a full day shooting on location at the Kirkstall venue.<\/p>\n<p>Former James Bond\u00a0actor Pierce Brosnan\u00a0filmed at the venue.<\/p>\n<p>He spent the day on set and, according to the Arcade Club team, was exactly as you would expect from a former Bond: warm, relaxed, and a genuine pleasure to have in the building.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"900\" height=\"822\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Screenshot-2026-01-09-at-13.26.29-900x822.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-196135\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>With the film tracing a journey \u201cfrom the arcades of Sheffield to Madison Square Garden,\u201d the Kirkstall shoot formed a key part of the story, grounding the opening of Naseem\u2019s rise in the unmistakable atmosphere of a British arcade. <\/p>\n<p>Arcade Club\u2019s rows of original machines and distinctive industrial setting provided the backdrop for one of the film\u2019s pivotal early scenes.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"630\" height=\"472\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/kirkstall-retro-arcade-club.jpg\" alt=\"kirkstall retro arcade club\" class=\"wp-image-93882\"  \/>Photo: Simon Cullingworth<\/p>\n<p>Arcade Club owner Andy Palmer said: \u201cIt\u2019s always an absolute pleasure to have film productions work with us. We\u2019re such a unique venue that it\u2019s no surprise we\u2019re often the first call when a production needs an authentic arcade setting.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe only use original hardware across our venues, and that really matters. Productions know they\u2019re getting the real thing, and that authenticity comes through on screen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time Arcade Club has appeared on screen.
