Kyogo Furuhashi has been making headlines at Celtic during the past week, amid his struggles with Birmingham City.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Therefore, it was perfect timing that Kyogo<\/a> ended his goal drought for Birmingham on Saturday evening in the FA Cup. <\/p>\n

Hours after Celtic thumped Dundee United<\/a> on Martin O\u2019Neill\u2019s second return to the dugout this season, Kyogo was scoring for the Blues against Cambridge United. <\/p>\n

The Celtic<\/a> hero hadn\u2019t scored since August, and there were suggestions that he could make a return to the Champions of Scotland<\/a> during the January transfer window, but that is probably put to bed now. <\/p>\n

It was a nervy 3-2 win for Birmingham against a team in England\u2019s fourth-tier, with Kyogo netting his team\u2019s second goal of the night.<\/p>\n

After the match, Chris Davies<\/a> expressed how much the struggling Japan star scoring meant to everyone, and how it \u2018meant a lot to him.\u2019 <\/p>\n

\u201cHe was really good tonight,\u201d Davies told Birmingham Live<\/a>. \u201cThe second goal is all about\u00a0Kyogo.\u00a0He made it for himself by chasing a lost cause, nicked it, and then a big touch out of his feet and takes his goal well.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou can see the reaction from all the players, himself, the fans, the staff, everyone. Everyone is chuffed for him, and it meant a lot to him.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Kyogo, it\u2019s goals and confidence. He will take a lot from that goal. He\u2019s got a lot of backing. The fans have been great with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe works hard, he\u2019s quick, he always gets a chance. We have just got to hope now that he takes those more consistently. He has our full support to do it.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other striker options outside of Kyogo returning to Celtic<\/p>\n

It\u2019s typical Celtic that they have been looking to replace Kyogo with Kyogo. It\u2019s probably a prime example of just how useless those are in the Parkhead boardroom.<\/p>\n

And whilst the Hoops love a comeback, as they have proven with Brendan Rodgers, Jota, Kieran Tierney, and recently O\u2019Neill. <\/p>\n
