Prince Harry has a desire to show Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet where he grew up in Britain, according to a source.<\/p>\n

The Duke of Sussex was last seen in the UK in September, where he had a long-awaited reunion with King Charles at Clarence House. <\/p>\n

He is now set to return to the UK this month as he prepares for his High Court legal case against Associated Newspapers Limited, which is expected to start on January 19.<\/p>\n

Harry will be returning to the UK without Meghan Markle or his two children, as he has claimed it is \u201cimpossible\u201d to bring them to the UK without security. <\/p>\n

A source close to the prince revealed: \u201cThere will be all kinds of considerations, like the children\u2019s school and other commitments. <\/p>\n

“But if the security is sorted, that would open up the door to come back more with his family and bring the family over more. He\u2019s been clear on that.<\/p>\n

\u201cHis desire is to show his kids where he grew up and the UK. If security is sorted, he\u2019ll want to sit down and think about what does that look like? How should we show up? We\u2019d all hope for and love that to happen.\u201d<\/p>\n

Harry is still awaiting the outcome of his security review, as initial reports had claimed the decision was \u201cnailed on\u201d, since then, government sources have suggested it is not as certain as first thought. <\/p>\n

A source familiar with the proceedings claimed: \u201cI have no idea what the RMB (risk management board) recommendation to Ravec (the Royal and VIP executive committee) will be, but what I do know with certainty is that neither does anyone else, since they are still undertaking the review.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn that basis, claims that a decision is already \u2018nailed on\u2019 seem more like an attempt to manipulate the media into manifesting an outcome from what will be a fair and rigorous review, but one that is very much still ongoing.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhoever is behind them must not realise how transparent and counter-productive to proper process that is.\u201d<\/p>\n

A friend of the prince said: \u201cWe hope common sense prevails. Whether you like Harry or not, he\u2019s the son of the King, brother to the heir and will one day be brother to the King. Those are things he can\u2019t change and the risk doesn\u2019t just stop.\u201d<\/p>\n

The duke is heading to the High Court over historical allegations of phone-hacking and unlawful activities against ANL, the publisher of The Daily Mail. <\/p>\n

ANL has previously characterised the claims against it, including phone tapping, bugging private homes and cars, and “blagging” sensitive medical and financial records, as “lurid” and “simply preposterous”, maintaining it has done nothing wrong.<\/p>\n

A source has also claimed that Harry is not looking forward to the legal proceedings, saying: \u201cIt has been a busy few months preparing for the case and he wants to see where the chips fall with the trial and his security.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are a lot of things he\u2019s not looking forward to with the trial. But beyond that, he\u2019s really looking forward to the year ahead, he\u2019s got an exciting programme coming up with all the stuff he loves doing \u2014 lots of work with his patronages.\u201d<\/p>\n

Prince Harry’s prolonged dispute with the Home Office over the provision of automatic police security ended in defeat in May 2025, before writing to the Home Secretary in September requesting a review of his protection.<\/p>\n

One source told a Sunday newspaper that “the only thing that could scupper his approval now would be an intervention from the palace”.<\/p>\n
