Conor Bradley’s Liverpool teammates have sent their well wishes after the full-back was ruled out for the remainder of the 2025\/26 campaign through injury. The Northern Ireland international sustained ‘significant’ damage to his knee in the closing stages of Thursday’s goalless draw at Arsenal, and will now undergo surgery.<\/p>\n

This was confirmed in a statement published by Liverpool on Sunday morning<\/a>, which detailed Bradley<\/a> had avoided an ACL rupture at the Emirates Stadium but suffered both both bone and ligament damage in his left knee. The overall response on social media has been that of condolence for the 22-year-old after his latest setback, and wishes of a return to action as soon as possible.<\/p>\n

New Liverpool<\/a> teammate Florian Wirtz<\/a>‘s message stood out. The midfielder reposted the club’s official Instagram update to his story, adding: “[Praying emoji, bicep emoji, red heart emoji] You come back strong brother!”<\/p>\n

It highlighted the bond both players have built in just a matter of months since Wirtz signed for Liverpool – a week on from Bradley’s assist for the German in last weekend’s 2-2 draw at Fulham.<\/p>\n

There were several other Reds stars to send Bradley messages using their Instagram stories, including fellow injured players Hugo Ekitike<\/a> and Giovanni Leoni<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Speedy recovery brother inshallah [red heart emoji] @conorbradley.03,” the former wrote, whilst the latter submitted a similar tribute: “Speed recovery big man [red heart emoji, bicep emoji].”<\/p>\n

Opposite full-back Milos Kerkez<\/a> also wrote: “Stay strong bro [red heart emoji, praying emoji],” and midfielder Curtis Jones<\/a> used just the praying and red heart emojis as he reposted Liverpool’s account to his own story. Likewise, Jeremie Frimpong<\/a> posted a picture of Bradley and himself, tagging his teammate and adding a red heart emoji.<\/p>\n

Kostas Tsimikas<\/a> – who is currently on loan from the Reds to AS Roma for the entire campaign – even replied: “@conorbradley.03 speedy recovery lil bro [red heart emoji].”<\/p>\n

The post Liverpool made to their official Instagram account was liked by more than 100,000 people including Ryan Gravenberch<\/a>, as well as Wirtz and Ekitike.<\/p>\n

In the comment section of that post were thousands of responses from supporters, plus the Northern Irish national team’s official account. Bradley’s country wrote: “Wishing you a smooth and speedy recovery, Conor [green heart emoji, white heart emoji].”<\/p>\n

Also on Sunday, Arsenal were back in action against Portsmouth in the third round of the FA Cup<\/a>. Featured in their starting line-up was Gabriel Martinelli, who received plenty of backlash<\/a> for throwing the ball at the injured Bradley before attempting to shove the Liverpool player off the pitch.<\/p>\n

The Arsenal player may have scored a hat-trick in a 4-1 victory for Mikel Arteta’s side, but supporters of Championship side Portsmouth booed and jeered the Brazilian each time he touched the ball and after every one of his goals.<\/p>\n
