When the bill arrives, so does a golden invitation to play. One round is all it takes. Win, and you’ll receive 50% off your bill, cutting it in half using the scissors already on your table. Lose, and you simply pay as normal.

The new activation builds on Forbici’s much-loved bill-cutting tradition, which previously saw diners attempt to snip their receipt perfectly in half for a discount. This January, the restaurant is raising the stakes by introducing a fresh, interactive twist, adding an element of chance, competition and theatre to the experience.

Giving the highest praise on the venue following his visit earlier this year, Marco said: “I’ve eaten pizzas all over the world. I’ve had them in Britain, Naples, Rome, New York, San Francisco and LA, and they’re very good, trust me. But let me tell you something, the very best pizza I’ve had in my life is in this restaurant in Manchester. It’s deliciously good.”

Sasso, Carta, Forbici, translating to Rock, Paper, Scissors in Italian, is a cheeky nod to one of the restaurant’s most talked-about details. Forbici, which means scissors in Italian, is known for serving its authentic Neapolitan pizzas in quarters, ready to be snipped at the table with pizza scissors. It’s a small ritual that’s become part of the experience, and this January, those scissors could be saving you money.

If you don’t fancy leaving your fate in the hands of a waiter, Forbici is also taking the game to the streets with a Manchester pop-up designed to stop passers-by in their tracks. Appearing at St Ann’s Square on Thursday 15th January, the pop-up features a billboard and a single mysterious hand emerging to play a round ofSasso, Carta, Forbici. Win the game, and you’ll walk away with a 50% off voucher to use in the restaurant.

Alongside the game, Forbici is also rolling out a trio of seasonal specials. New to the menu is the Marinara Tre Pomodori, a fresh and flavour-packed vegan pizza topped with yellow organic, San Marzano and semi-dried tomatoes, garlic and basil. Fan favourite Scarole also returns, with the Neapolitan folded pizza filled with smoked provola, endive, nuts, olives, sultanas, anchovies and parmesan on Forbici’s signature biga base. There’s also a new addition to the drinks menu: Hop Water by Track Brewery, a refreshing alcohol-free mix of sparkling water and hops.

Forbici’s pizzas are built on precision and science, as well as a next-generation take on Neapolitan dough. Three generations in the making, the dough is crafted by master bakers using a unique biga base and a signature fermentation process, resulting in a high-rise, light and airy pizza that sets Forbici apart in Manchester’s food scene. The perfect meal for January bellies and budgets.

Part game, part giveaway and part love letter to Italian dining culture, Sasso, Carta, Forbici is Forbici’s way of making January a little less dull, and a lot more delicious.

The in-restaurant game runs throughout January, with the pop-up landing in St Ann’s Square on Thursday 15th January. Any vouchers won can be redeemed when dining in at Forbici’s Manchester restaurant.

Manchester pizza favourite Forbici, is now inviting diners to take part in a playful twist that could see…

[8813
748,393,4884,2465,16,15
0":"post-690990","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-manchester","8":"tag-britain","9":"tag-england","10":"tag-great-britain","11":"tag-manchester","12":"tag-uk","13":"tag-united-kingdom
["GET
