Marc Leonard is generating interest from a number of clubs in the Championship and League One, as well as one from MLS, amid Birmingham City exit talk.<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to Birmingham Live<\/a>, the midfielder has no shortage of suitors this month as speculation mounts on his future with the side.<\/p>\n

The midfielder joined the Blues in the 2024 summer transfer window from Brighton, but he has been unable to earn consistent game time under Chris Davies.<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old featured 35 times in League One last season as the Midlands outfit earned a record breaking 111 points to clinch promotion.<\/p>\n

And he has so far started just five of his 15 appearances in the Championship<\/a> this term, with the team struggling for consistent form.<\/p>\n

Marc Leonard transfer latest<\/p>\n

It\u2019s understood<\/a> that one unnamed club in MLS are interested in a deal to sign Leonard this month.<\/p>\n

Belgian side Sint-Truidense have been linked with a deal to sign the Scot, but he is also generating<\/a> interest from sides in the Championship<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Clubs in League One are also keen on signing the player, but it\u2019s believed<\/a> that he has no interest in making a return down to the third division at this stage in his career.<\/p>\n

Leonard has a contract with Birmingham<\/a> until the summer of 2028, but it\u2019s expected that he will depart the Blues before the market closes on 2 February.<\/p>\n

The second tier side are aiming to build a team capable of competing for promotion this season, and Leonard is seeking greater game time after being unable to assert himself as a key figure in the squad under Davies.<\/p>\n

Davies\u2019 side are 14th in the table after 26 games played, sitting seven points adrift of the play-offs.<\/p>\n

Next up for Birmingham<\/a> is a trip to face Swansea City on 17 January in a 5.30pm kick-off.<\/p>\n

Marc Leonard options is positive news for Birmingham<\/p>\n

The number of clubs coming forward with interest for Leonard is a positive sign for Birmingham, as it means they should be able to make some money from his departure.<\/p>\n

The midfielder has proven himself as a capable player at this level, but he just hasn\u2019t been as good a fit for Davies as the other options in the squad.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s no surprise he has interest from teams in the second tier, but the opportunity to move to MLS could be tempting at this stage of his career.<\/p>\n
