Clip of elderly NI woman who slipped on \u2018black ice\u2019 goes viral\u00a0after being helped by two passersby <\/p>\n
A video of two men coming to aid of an elderly woman after she slipped on “black ice” in Co Fermanagh has gone viral on social media.<\/p>\n
The footage shows the pensioner who appears to have fallen over while waiting to cross a road in Enniskillen during treacherous weather conditions.<\/p>\n
Following the fall, two men are seen coming to her rescue and can be seen helping the pensioner get back on her feet.<\/p>\n
They then escort her safely across the road.<\/p>\n
The clip has racked up nearly 1.5m views on TikTok and has been shared over 150,000 times.<\/p>\n
\u201c-1 degrees and black ice everywhere, not all heroes wear capes,\u201d the caption reads.<\/p>\n
The user who posted the footage states that one of the two men is “my wee daddy”.<\/p>\n

Thousands of people have commented on the clip praising the intervention with some users criticising a lack of gritting to thaw icy pavements.<\/p>\n
\u201cGod bless her. She\u2019s been walking the town of Enniskillen all my life. Such a wee independent woman,\u201d one comment reads.<\/p>\n
One sarcastic comment states: \u201cAt least the council put a tiny bit of salt on the roads though.\u201d<\/p>\n
Many of the 5,000 comments are from users who were brought to tears by the post which is accompanied by emotional music. <\/p>\n
\u201cAww this broke my heart. Well done to the guys helping her up,\u201d one person noted alongside a heart emoji. <\/p>\n
Another used a crying face emoji adding \u201cSunday morning and I\u2019m sat sobbing\u201d while another opined \u201coh no, this hurt my heart\u201d. <\/p>\n
One user wrote \u201cdidn\u2019t plan on crying to a TikTok today\u201d while another pointed out \u201cthat\u2019s someone\u2019s nan\u201d. <\/p>\n
Many users were also impressed with the lady\u2019s winterwear with one commenting \u201coh my gosh, she’s so tiny and cute. Her little pink hat\u201d. <\/p>\n
