{"id":692082,"date":"2026-01-12T23:51:15","date_gmt":"2026-01-12T23:51:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/692082\/"},"modified":"2026-01-12T23:51:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-12T23:51:15","slug":"events-delivered-52m-boost-to-sheffields-economy-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/692082\/","title":{"rendered":"Events delivered \u00a352m boost to Sheffield\u2019s economy in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tX<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/full-logo-white.png\" alt=\"The Business Desk\"\/><br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tRegister for free to receive latest news stories direct to your inbox<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/register\/\" class=\"btn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Register<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Major events brought over 858,000 attendees to Sheffield in 2025, with an economic impact of more than \u00a352.2m and a total visitor spend exceeding \u00a332m \u2013 according to new figures released by Sheffield City Council.<\/p>\n<p>The city\u2019s return on investment for council-supported events reached \u00a332.65 for every \u00a31 invested, which the council says underlines Sheffield\u2019s status as a \u201cpowerhouse\u201d for live events and festivals.<\/p>\n<p>In the spring, Sheffield again hosted the World Snooker Championships at the Crucible Theatre, drawing tens of thousands of spectators.<\/p>\n<p>The summer brought a wave of music and celebration from Bassfest to 90\u2019 Fest.
