The author of It Ends With Us Colleen Hoover<\/a> has shared that she is undergoing cancer<\/a> treatment. <\/p>\n

The 46-year-old shared on social media<\/a> that she has one day of radiation left as part of her treatment for cancer.<\/p>\n

\u2018Second to last day of radiation,\u2019 read the Instagram<\/a> Story the author shared. <\/p>\n

\u2018I wish I could blame my hair and facial expressions on @Texas.Oncology, but they\u2019ve been great. Hope you never need them, but highly recommend them.\u2019<\/p>\n

Hoover opened up in a Facebook<\/a> post in December about previously being diagnosed with cancer and having undergone surgery, but she did not share what type of cancer it was.<\/p>\n

In a separate post earlier this month, the author shared that she had consulted with a geneticist to learn more about her diagnosis, confirming her cancer was not caused by family genes, HPV or excessive hormones.<\/p>\n

\u2018This means it was more than likely environmental\/lifestyle, which is lack of exercise, poor diet and stress,\u2019 Hoover wrote to her fans on Facebook.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m happy and grateful to be alive but I hate vegetables. I hate when I have to get off the couch. I hate sweating. I hate when science is right.<\/p>\n

\u2018If you see me at the gym, don\u2019t even tell me good job. If you see me at a restaurant eating grilled chicken and drinking water, I\u2019m probably real mad about it.\u2019<\/p>\n

It comes after Hoover was unable to promote her latest film adaptation Regretting You<\/a> due to surgery, which she said she was \u2018super bummed\u2019 about last year in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n

She added that she was \u2018so sad to miss this movie release and premiere, but so grateful to all the actors and the team who put this together.\u2019<\/p>\n

The film starred McKenna Grace and How to Train Your Dragon\u2019s Mason Thames, as well as Allison Williams and Dave Franco in supporting roles.<\/p>\n

It Ends With Us did impressive business at the box office in 2024, but has been overshadowed by the legal quagmire left in its wake<\/a> between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.<\/p>\n

Hoover is a best-selling author and BookTok favourite, with over 20 titles to her name, including another on the way this month, Woman Down.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s also a churning pipeline to convert her pages into on-screen scenes, with Reminders of Him and Verity (with\u00a0Anne Hathaway<\/a>,\u00a0Dakota Johnson<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Josh Hartnett<\/a>) set for release this year.<\/p>\n
