Dominik Szoboszlai<\/a> may have given away one of the worst-ever Anfield goals against Barnsley, but Liverpool\u2019s leading Player of the Year contender once again got top marks.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Reds eased into the fourth round of the FA Cup<\/a> on Monday evening, with substitutes Florian Wirtz<\/a> and Hugo Ekitike<\/a> among the goalscorers.<\/p>\n

Here we compare our player ratings<\/a> with those of the Liverpool Echo<\/a>, GOAL<\/a> and the TIA readers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Szoboszlai (7.40)<\/strong> has been Liverpool\u2019s best and most consistent player all season and he topped the ratings yet again at Anfield.<\/p>\n

The Hungarian\u2019s Steven Gerrard<\/a>-esque strike gave Arne Slot<\/a>\u2018s side the lead and he impressed in both midfield and at right-back.<\/p>\n

Ian Doyle of the Echo said Szoboszlai \u201cdid well\u201d at both ends of the pitch, even though his \u201cabsolutely horrific\u201d error gifted Barnsley a goal back.<\/p>\n

\"LIVERPOOL,<\/p>\n

Jeremie Frimpong<\/a> (7.00)<\/strong> was the only other player to average a seven-out-of-10 score or above, showing that it wasn\u2019t a classic Liverpool performance.<\/p>\n

The right-back\u2019s goal was superbly taken, with This Is Anfield\u2018s Joanna Durkan describing it as \u201cthunderous.\u201d<\/p>\n

Joe Gomez<\/a> (5.05)<\/strong> looked off the pace and got the lowest rating for the Reds, with GOAL\u2019s Richie Mills highlighting a \u201cvery shaky start\u201d from the Englishman.<\/p>\n

According to FotMob<\/a>, Szoboszlai was also Liverpool\u2019s standout figure statistics-wise, earning a 9.2 and making the most defensive contributions (eight).<\/p>\n

He had a whopping 138 touches and completed 94 percent of his passes \u2013 and no player on either side had more shots than his tally of three.<\/p>\n

Intriguingly, Virgil van Dijk<\/a> had the same number, with the skipper also enjoying a 93 percent pass completion rate.<\/p>\n

Frimpong may have scored, but he also only won one out of five ground duels, showing that improvements are still needed from the Dutchman.<\/p>\n
