{"id":692995,"date":"2026-01-13T10:42:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-13T10:42:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/692995\/"},"modified":"2026-01-13T10:42:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-13T10:42:14","slug":"new-flats-care-home-and-shop-revamp-plans-in-waltham-forest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/692995\/","title":{"rendered":"New flats, care home and shop revamp plans in Waltham Forest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Several applications include proposals for loft conversions and extensions to existing homes.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Walthamstow, a dormer roof extension is planned for the main rear roof of a property in Greville Road, along with an extension above a two-storey rear outrigger.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Two front rooflights are included in the scheme.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A similar proposal has been submitted for Glenthorne Road, also in Walthamstow, which includes a single-storey rear extension, a dormer roof extension, and works above a two-storey outrigger.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The plans also cover the installation of a replacement side door and windows.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Brookscroft Road, Walthamstow, prior approval is sought for a single-storey rear extension projecting 6m from the rear wall, with a maximum height of 3m.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Billet Road, Walthamstow, a single-storey rear extension is also planned.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  This would extend 5m from the rear wall, reaching a maximum height of 3.2m.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Leyton, 56 Farmer Road is the subject of two separate applications\u2014one for a dormer roof extension and another for a single-storey side and rear ground floor extension.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A property on Trumpington Road in Forest Gate is proposed to be converted from a single dwelling into a residential care home.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The home would provide supported living for adults with learning disabilities and operate under a 24-hour care model.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The application seeks a Lawful Development Certificate to formalise the change of use, stating that the service would function under Use Class C3(b).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Numerous applications have been submitted for roof extensions across the borough.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On Fraser Road in Walthamstow, a roof enlargement is planned above a two-storey outrigger.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A single-storey rear wrap-around extension is proposed for a property in Leasowes Road in Leyton.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  In Chingford, a dormer extension and additional roof lights are planned for an existing property.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Land in Hillcrest Road, Walthamstow is proposed for subdivision to create a new, single-storey home.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The development would deliver a self-contained bungalow.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  On The Ridgeway in Chingford, permission is sought to convert a house into a children\u2019s care facility.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  This would involve a change of use from residential to an institutional care setting (Use Class C2).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  An applicant is seeking permission to convert the first and second floors into two self-contained flats at 158 Station Road in Chingford.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The plans propose one two-bedroom unit and one one-bedroom unit, with changes also suggested for the building\u2019s ground floor elevation.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The redevelopment of ground floor commercial space at 285 High Road Leyton is also proposed.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The proposals include new single-storey side and rear extensions, a glazed shopfront, additional access doors, improved boundary treatments, and bin storage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Several applications include proposals for loft conversions and extensions to existing homes.
