\n Emergency services were called to the Drum Brae Drive area of the Scottish capital at around 9.45am on Tuesday.\n<\/p>\n

\n Police said that a 44-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment following the incident.\n<\/p>\n

\n According to the Daily Record, several police cars, along with armed officers, were spotted at the scene, along with a man soaked in blood with bandages wrapped around his head.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n It is understood that officers are still in attendance and that police enquiries are ongoing.\n<\/p>\n

\n A Police Scotland<\/a> spokesperson said: \u201cAround 9.45 am on Tuesday, 13 January, we received a report of a man injured in the Drum Brae Drive area of Edinburgh.\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cEmergency services attended and a 44-year-old man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.\n<\/p>\n

\n <\/a>\n<\/p>\n

\n \u201cOfficers are in attendance and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.\u201d\n<\/p>\n

\n Lothian Bus services have been diverted following the incident as the road is still locked down by officers.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
