We bring you the latest news with several Springboks reportedly<\/a> on the market while the coaching roundabout gathers pace.<\/p>\n So without further ado, here are our picks of the top stories.<\/p>\n Springbok headlines PREM strugglers\u2019 shortlist<\/p>\n We start with a big one, as it looks as if Rugby World Cup-winning Springboks<\/a> lock Jean Kleyn won\u2019t be heading to the Top 14 after all, but to a West Country PREM Rugby club instead.<\/p>\n Reports in November stated that the Munster second-rower, whose contract expires at the end of the season, was at the centre of a tug-of-war between Toulouse and Bordeaux-Begles. However, a more recent report by the\u00a0Daily Mail<\/a>, states that Gloucester Rugby have won the race for his services.<\/p>\n The 32-year-old lock joined Munster back in 2016 from the Stormers and has been a consistent performer for the side ever since, eventually leading to five Test caps for Ireland in 2019. He switched international allegiances back to South Africa four years later and featured off the bench in the 2023 Rugby World Cup final victory against the All Blacks.<\/p>\n According to the report, he has agreed to join the Cherry and White next season after the club failed in their attempts to lure Saracens and Samoa forward Theo McFarland to Kingsholm; he has opted for a move to La Rochelle instead.<\/p>\n It is also noted that the likes of Franco Mostert, Faf de Klerk and Jesse Kriel have been offered to PREM Rugby clubs with impending changes to the Japan Rugby League One competition\u2019s regulations regarding foreign players. The report adds that it is not yet clear whether Kpoku will remain at RC Toulon through to the 2026\/27 season or not.<\/p>\n Coaching changes<\/p>\n Staying with Toulon and the French giants will bid farewell to Azzurri legend Sergio Parisse, Midi Olympique confirms.<\/p>\n The publication reported in December that the Italian Rugby Federation were in talks with the legendary number eight over a possible role in Gonzalo Quesada\u2019s coaching team and now states that the move will be completed at the end of the season. It adds that Toulon have already begun the process of finding his successor.<\/p>\n There is bound to be a host of coaching changes next season. The Sharks are continuing their search for John Plumtree\u2019s permanent successor, with JP Pietersen still a possible option, depending on how well he oversees the remainder of the current campaign.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, Gloucester are looking to ease the pressure on director of rugby George Skivington by doing a restructuring of the coaching staff and have lined up ex-Leicester Tigers boss Richard Cockerill, who was recently relieved of his duties with Georgia.
