This came after talk of a move to Coventry City or Stoke City went quiet.<\/p>\n<p>Frank Lampard\u2019s team had been making efforts to sign the Mj\u00e4llby AIF player for months. Stoke City were dragged in and it looked like an attempt to squeeze more money from Coventry City.<\/p>\n<p>Whether that was in terms of transfer fee or wages wasn\u2019t clear.<\/p>\n<p>At the end of November, Sport Witness published <a href=\"https:\/\/sportwitness.co.uk\/coventry-city-and-abdoulie-manneh-turning-into-a-farce-meeting-held\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">an article titled<\/a>: \u2018Coventry City and Abdoulie Manneh turning into a farce\u2019<\/p>\n<p>That should give an idea of what a mess it had become.<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, even as the claims swirled of Birmingham City preparing a medical for Manneh, we threw in caution: \u2018Given what has happened between Manneh, Coventry City and Stoke in recent months, this one isn\u2019t done until he\u2019s holding the shirt.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>And therefore, it comes as no shock that Manneh\u2019s move to Birmingham City has collapsed. Perhaps the only surprise is that it didn\u2019t drag on for two weeks before falling to pieces.<\/p>\n<p>Birmingham City collapse a mystery to Mj\u00e4llby AIF<\/p>\n<p>Sweden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/fotbolldirekt.se\/silly-season\/uppgifter-psv-och-club-brugge-narmar-sig-brantlind\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FotbollDirekt<\/a> have got in touch with Mj\u00e4llby AIF to find out their opinion on it all.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s worth noting that in the summer, a move to Olympiacos also disintegrated at the last minute. The Swedish club will have then been through all the Coventry City and Stoke City drama, and now this week\u2019s update.<\/p>\n<p>The club\u2019s sport director Hasse Larsson has been asked for comment. Before providing that, he wants to know what actually happened: \u201cNo, unfortunately I don\u2019t want to (say) before we have all the facts. No, I have no comments at this time.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mj\u00e4llby AIF not knowing what has happened would suggest the problem is between Manneh and Birmingham City.
