Edinburgh passengers <\/a>onboard a flight to Bristol were forced to disembark their flight after the wing sustained “minor damage” during pushback. It is understood that as the plane was leaving the gate and heading to the runway, the wing of the plane hit a temporary light.<\/p>\n

As a result, the 1.15pm flight <\/a>on Tuesday, January 13, was delayed as passengers disembarked the aircraft, returned to their gates and a replacement plane was sourced.<\/p>\n

An EasyJet spokesperson confirmed: \u201cWe can confirm that flight EZY218 from Edinburgh to Bristol this afternoon was delayed on departure after one of the aircraft\u2019s wings experienced some minor damage during pushback.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe aircraft returned to stand and customers disembarked into the terminal while we arranged a replacement aircraft to operate the flight, which has now departed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe safety of our passengers and crew is our highest priority and we are sorry for any inconvenience caused by the delay.”<\/p>\n

The delayed flight took off from Edinburgh Airport<\/a> at 3.20pm and landed in Bristol two hours later than expected at approximately 4.32pm.<\/p>\n
