But he\u2019s not about to do so until he\u2019s sure he and his family will be safe.<\/p>\n<p>As he prepares to return to London soon, his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2026\/01\/05\/prince-harry-wins-uk-courts-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.K. police protection<\/a> is anything but assured. Though some outlets are reporting that his security is \u201cnailed on,\u201d that view is actually premature.<\/p>\n<p>Prince Harry\u2019s legal row over security in the United Kingdom continues<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" height=\"807\" width=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/GettyImages-2234558740.jpg\" alt=\"Prince Harry \" class=\"wp-image-1036355\"  \/>Photo Credit: Max Mumby\/Indigo\/Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>Later this month, the prince is due back in London for a High Court trial against Associated Newspapers, publisher of the\u00a0Daily Mail\u00a0and\u00a0the Mail on Sunday. Scheduled to begin on January 19, Harry\u2019s case focuses on alleged breaches of privacy. However, the publisher has denied the Duke of Sussex\u2019s claims as being \u201clurid\u201d and \u201csimply preposterous.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, <a href=\"https:\/\/radaronline.com\/p\/prince-harry-uk-security-fight-experts-warn-protection-not-done-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RadarOnline<\/a> is reporting that a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2025\/12\/04\/prince-harry-stalker-got-close-royal-protection\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new risk factor<\/a> could force the issue of Harry\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/2026\/01\/06\/prince-harry-security-royal-family-reunion-relationships-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">security being reinstated<\/a>. However, government sources say that the assessment of Harry\u2019s security needs is still in progress. No final decision has been made.<\/p>\n<p>Following Harry and wife <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/meghan-markle\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Meghan Markle\u2019s<\/a> step back from royal duties in 2020, the Home Office withdrew his security protection. Since then, Harry has fought to have it reinstated, not just for his safety, but for that of his family. Harry and Meghan share two children: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/prince-archie\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Prince Archie<\/a>, 6, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/princess-lilibet\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Princess Lilibet<\/a>, 4.<\/p>\n<p>Even though Harry invoked the death of his mother <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realitytea.com\/tag\/princess-diana\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Princess Diana<\/a>, he lost his legal challenge in May 2025. \u201cSome people want history to repeat itself,\u201d he told the BBC at the time, which he said was \u201cpretty dark.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, an insider reported, \u201cNo-one can say what the RMB [Risk Management Board] will ultimately advise \u2026 because the review is still underway and there is simply no conclusion yet.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSuggestions that the outcome is already settled look like an effort to shape the media narrative,\u201d the source added. \u201cThis is the one huge reason this is far from a done deal for Harry.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>TELL US \u2013 DO YOU THINK HARRY WILL REGAIN HIS POLICE PROTECTION FOR HIMSELF AND HIS FAMILY? <\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Britain\u2019s Prince Harry really wants to return to his birthplace, at least part time.
