These offences include supply and conspiracy to supply class A and B drugs along with possessing, acquiring and transferring criminal property.<\/p>\n<p>The offences were identified a result of an investigation carried out by the PSNI\u2019s Organised Crime Unit involving the EncroChat encrypted communications platform.  <\/p>\n<p>The man was initially arrested in Spain on October 1st 2025 and on Tuesday extradition proceedings were completed with his return to Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>He is expected to appear before Laganside Magistrates Court on Wednesday, 14th January.<\/p>\n<p>Sergeant Davey from the International Policing Unit said: \u201cThese very serious offences have been identified as a result of years of detailed investigations by both National and International law enforcement partners working alongside the PSNI\u2019s Organised Crime Unit. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis extradition demonstrates our commitment to tracking down persons wanted here in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn this case PSNI worked closely with the UK\u2019s Joint International Crime Centre and Spain\u2019s Polic\u00eda Nacional to locate, arrest and extradite this suspect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will continue to work with our national and international partners to investigate serious criminality and bring offenders before the courts.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tSign Up To Our Newsletter&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t&#13;\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tMost read today&#13;<br \/>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t&#13;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"A 40-year-old man was extradited from Spain to Northern Ireland on Tuesday 13th January.
