{"id":695533,"date":"2026-01-14T14:18:13","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:18:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/695533\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T14:18:13","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T14:18:13","slug":"michelin-success-for-edinburghs-top-new-restaurant-of-the-year","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/695533\/","title":{"rendered":"Michelin success for Edinburgh\u2019s top new restaurant of the year"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Barry-Fish-Michelin-Guide-2-620x264.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"Barry Fish - Michelin Guide 2\"\/><\/p>\n<p><strong>One of Edinburgh\u2019s most celebrated new restaurants of 2025 has earned its place in the prestigious Michelin Guide for Great Britain and Ireland, just 8 months after its launch.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Barry Fish on Edinburgh\u2019s waterfront at the Shore in Leith is now one of just 37 restaurants in the Scottish capital to be recognised by Michelin for culinary excellence.<\/p>\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-15338 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/01\/Barry-Fish-restaurant-2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Chef Barry Bryson opened the doors to his first independent fish restaurant in February. Since then, he has quickly established Barry Fish as one of the city\u2019s most popular dining venues for local diners and visitors by showcasing the best fish and seafood from Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>In July, Barry Fish also earned its place on The Good Food Guide\u2019s UK-wide list of \u2018100 Best Local Restaurants 2025\u2019 and has achieved over 400 five-star reviews on Google.<\/p>\n<p>Barry Fish has also just unveiled its first festive \u2018Fish-mas\u2019 menus for Christmas and Hogmanay. This season, Barry and his team will be serving a festive feast from the sea, taking inspiration from \u2018The Feast of the Seven Fishes\u2019, an Italian American celebration with dishes of fish and other seafood served over the festive season.<\/p>\n<p>A New Year\u2019s Eve special dinner menu will be served over two sittings on Wednesday 31st December.\u00a0An early sitting will be available from 6pm or those heading into the city centre for the bells.
