Ranvir Singh<\/a>\u00a0was stunned on Good Morning Britain<\/a>\u00a0as she shared footage of the ‘worst burglary of all time’.<\/p>\n

The journalist and presenter, 48, ended a news bulletin in Wednesday’s (January 14) episode with this surprising clip.<\/p>\n

Addressing viewers, she said: ‘Finally from me \u2013 is this one of the worst burglary attempts you’ve seen of all time?<\/p>\n

‘Police in Durham have released CCTV footage of 50-year-old Andrew Pickering robbing a petrol<\/a> station in Chester-le-Street.’<\/p>\n

As Ranvir spoke, the footage showed Pickering attempting to climb up a ladder towards the ceiling to escape – only to land on the floor.<\/p>\n

She continued: ‘They called his efforts inspirational because of the number of attempts it took him to get away.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘He was eventually jailed for 12 months.’<\/p>\n

Reacting on Facebook, one person commented: ‘Congrats to the interviewers, prosecutors and the jury for not breaking out laughing.’<\/p>\n

Another added: ‘How not to use a ladder safety video.’<\/p>\n

A third joked: ‘Hold the ladder mate.’<\/p>\n

While a fourth remarked: ‘If only he had a ladder that extends. Oh wait…….’\u00a0<\/p>\n

A forensic examination of the scene revealed a significant amount of blood – which was later confirmed to belong to Pickering.<\/p>\n

Last week, he appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates’ Court, where he was charged with two counts of burglary and sentenced to 12 months in prison.<\/p>\n

Furthermore, an accomplice – 46-year-old Daniel Reay, of no fixed abode – was also charged with burglary.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He was handed a\u00a0community order, requiring him to complete alcohol treatment and rehabilitation activity.<\/p>\n

In yesterday’s Good Morning Britain, presenter Ed Balls seemingly froze up<\/a> while live on air.<\/p>\n

It meant co-host Susanna Reid, 55, swiftly stepped in as she instead read out the time as the show went to a break.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ranvir previously faced an awkward wardrobe malfunction<\/a> while presenting the show alongside Kate Garraway.<\/p>\n

The duo were joined by the broadcaster’s resident entertainment expert Richard Arnold when Ranvir noticed the buttons on her dress had popped open.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Previously, Ranvir suffered a wardrobe malfunction as her dress burst open live on air on Good Morning Britain – leaving her co-star Kate Garraway rushing to ‘protect her modesty’<\/p>\n

It left the three presenters in fits of giggles as Ranvir quickly tried to button up her dress, as her co-stars made a series of cheeky jibes towards her.<\/p>\n

‘Oh, my button has popped undone!’ Ranvir said, turning her chair away from the cameras as she noticed the wardrobe malfunction.<\/p>\n

Kate cheekily jibed back at her: ‘Oh, hello!’ as Richard laughed, joking: ‘What, in anticipation? Sorry, Ranvir, wrong crowd.’<\/p>\n

‘You’ve got to know your audience, Ranvir,’ Kate continued, as the cameras quickly panned away from the presenter to give her a moment of privacy.<\/p>\n

Ranvir joked off screen: ‘Although, everyone at home would have loved it,’ to which Richard quipped back: ‘I’m sure they would’ve appreciated it.’<\/p>\n

Kate quickly offered a helping hand, holding up a sheet of paper with the headlines across Ranvir’s chest, with Richard adding: ‘Yes, cover her modesty.’<\/p>\n

Buttoning herself back up, Ranvir continued to laugh as Richard went on to present the entertainment segment, before quickly getting her game face back on.<\/p>\n
