Donning their best townie attire, Affleck, Damon, and Fallon went full Boston as they rattled off different Bay State locations, starting with Abington and ending with Yarmouth. Affleck laid the accent on a bit thicker when it came time to name drop the Hub, and really channeled his inner Bostonian while naming spots like Canton, Carlisle, and Carver, and later Fall River, Falmouth, Fitchburg, and \u201cFoxborough, for your mutha.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
And while Fallon didn\u2019t grow up in Massachusetts, he did a solid job keeping up with Affleck and Damon on all of the pronunciations, only flubbing slightly towards the end of the skit while naming the town of Winchendon.<\/p>\n
In addition to shouting out all the towns and cities in the Bay State, the actors sat for a wide-ranging chat with Fallon, talking about their new film \u201cThe Rip,\u201d Affleck visiting Damon on the set of \u201cThe Odyssey,\u201d as well as their sports fandom. Damon shared a particularly funny anecdote about seeing the Celtics face the Lakers in 2008, getting to see the action up close while sitting near fellow Boston star Mark Wahlberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n According to Damon, he and Wahlberg were sitting right near the Lakers bench and got a bit of a talking to from Phil Jackson, the Lakers coach at the time, for being a bit too boisterous while cheering on Boston as the team went on a run.<\/p>\n \u201cWe were probably a little Boston, a little obnoxious,\u201d Damon admitted. \u201cPhil Jackson jumped, called a time out, and turned and literally said… \u2018Sit down and shut the [expletive] up!\u2019 to me and Mark.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
