{"id":695712,"date":"2026-01-14T16:10:09","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T16:10:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/695712\/"},"modified":"2026-01-14T16:10:09","modified_gmt":"2026-01-14T16:10:09","slug":"darren-aronofsky-produced-pendulum-rated-r-for-bloody-violent-content","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/695712\/","title":{"rendered":"Darren Aronofsky-Produced &#8216;Pendulum&#8217; Rated R for &#8220;Bloody Violent Content&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019ve yet to see a trailer, a poster, or even a still from <strong>Pendulum<\/strong>, but its MPA rating gives us a taste of what to expect from the mysterious horror thriller.<\/p>\n<p>The film is rated R for \u201c<strong>some strong\/bloody violent content, sexuality, drug use, nudity, and language<\/strong>.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Produced by <strong>Darren Aronofsky<\/strong>, Pendulum marks the feature directorial debut of Black Swan\u00a0screenwriter <strong>Mark Heyman<\/strong> from his own script.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joseph Gordon-Levitt<\/strong> (Inception), <strong>Phoebe Dynevor<\/strong> (\u201cBridgerton\u201d), <strong>Jacki Weaver<\/strong> (Bird Box), and <strong>Norman Reedus<\/strong> (\u201cThe Walking Dead\u201d) star.<\/p>\n<p>The film follows young couple Patrick (Gordon-Levitt) and Abigail (Dynevor) on a journey to a new-age retreat in New Mexico, drawn by the possibility of recovering with the much-revered mystical healer Ella-Rose (Weaver) after going through a traumatic event.<\/p>\n<p>Patrick is willing to do anything to help his wife but becomes distrustful of Ella-Rose even as Abigail falls under her spell.
