The incident occurred on January 4<\/p>\n

A man is due to appear in court tomorrow in connection with an arson attack at a Bangor property earlier this month.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred at around 4.15am on Sunday in the Ashbury Gardens area of the seaside town.<\/p>\n

A vehicle was subsequently burnt out while damage was also caused to the front door of the home.<\/p>\n

A man has since been charged with arson endangering life with intent to Newtownards Magistrates\u2019 Court.<\/p>\n

He is due to appear tomorrow, January 15.<\/p>\n

Two people were in the house at the time of the attack but were able to escape and no injuries were reported.<\/p>\n

Fire crews attended the scene and extinguished both blazes.<\/p>\n

Following the incident, Detective Sergeant McCartan said: \u201cIt was reported that two masked men in dark clothing were seen dousing the car and house in accelerant and setting them on fire, as well as smashing windows, before making off.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe car was completely burnt-out, with damage caused to the front door of the property.\u201d<\/p>\n
