\n Andre Yarham, who spent time living in Norwich and Dereham, was taken to hospital with an infection in December and spent his last weeks at Priscilla Bacon Lodge. He died on December 27.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n He was the youngest person to be diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, a condition which affects just 0.1pc of the population, due to a protein mutation in 2024.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n

\n His mum,\u00a0Sam Fairbairn, and stepdad, Alistair, joined Cat Deeley\u00a0and\u00a0Ben Shephard on the This Morning sofa to share Andre\u2019s heartbreaking story.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n Mrs Fairbairn described how\u00a0his condition worsened rapidly and that\u00a0he went from being his usual self to requiring a wheelchair and residential care.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “Going into his first care home in September last year, he walked in very, very slowly, but he still walked,\u201d she said.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “And then within a month, he was in a wheelchair and being hoisted.”\n<\/p>\n

\n She explained how the consultant said Andre\u2019s scan looked like one of a 70-year-old who had dementia before tearfully recalling the moment she knew her son would not make it.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n “And then we received the devastating news, sorry, that he was on, he was on end of life.”\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n ITV viewers were incredibly moved by the story, with many sharing their condolences\u00a0on X.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n @CharlieJMUA said: “Crying mess watching this family. Andre\u2019s parents obviously loved him so very much, it\u2019s all so sad.”\n<\/p>\n
\n “You never know what’s around the corner”, shared @hippy_loraine. “Give your loved ones a hug.”\n<\/p>\n
\n @SiouxyWoozy added: “Those poor parents, their grief is so raw, what an awful disease. RIP Andre.”\n<\/p>\n
