Here and Now has announced a casting update, in effect from later this month.<\/p>\n
Featuring the songs of hit UK pop group Steps, the new musical, which is nominated at this year\u2019s WhatsOnStage Awards, is touring through to May 2026.<\/p>\n
Last year, it enjoyed a record-breaking world premiere run at the Alexandra in Birmingham, where it was described in the WhatsOnStage review as being \u201cfoot kickin\u2019, finger clickin\u2019, leather slapping, hand clappin\u2019.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n Set in a seaside superstore, the musical explores themes of love and betrayal. Written by Shaun Kitchener and featuring Steps\u2019 well-known hits such as \u201cTragedy\u201d, \u201cStomp\u201d, \u201c5,6,7,8\u201d, and \u201cOne for Sorrow\u201d, the show is directed by Rachel Kavanaugh and choreographed by Matt Cole.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Playing Patricia from 23 January will be Sally Ann Matthews<\/a>. She takes over from the originator of the role,\u00a0Finty Williams<\/a>, who departed the show in December.<\/p>\n She joins\u00a0Lara Denning<\/a> as Caz, Blake Patrick Anderson<\/a> as Robbie, River Medway<\/a> as Jem, Jacqui Dubois<\/a> as Vel, Chris Grahamson<\/a> as Gareth, Rosie Singha<\/a> as Neeta, Edward Baker Duly<\/a> as Max, and John Stacey<\/a> as Lesley. Ben Darcy<\/a> plays Ben and Lauren Woolf<\/a> plays Tracey.<\/p>\n Also in the cast are Georgia Christofi, Kade Ferraiolo, Albert Green, Harry Jack, Casey Jay, Charlie-Jay Johnson, Rosemary Annabella Nkrumah, Dean Rickards, Markus S\u00f6dergren, Genevieve Taylor and Jessica Vaux. Jack Palmer has joined as Off Stage Swing.<\/p>\n Musical supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Matt Spencer-Smith, set design by Tom Rogers, costume design by Gabriella Slade, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design by Adam Fisher, wigs and hair design by Sam Cox, make-up design by Jackie Saundercock, casting by Will Burton for Grindrod Burton Casting, Music Technology by PhijAdams and Production Management by Setting Line.<\/p>\n
