{"id":697838,"date":"2026-01-15T14:40:10","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T14:40:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/697838\/"},"modified":"2026-01-15T14:40:10","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T14:40:10","slug":"tottenham-move-quickly-to-replace-paratici-and-boost-thomas-franks-team","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/697838\/","title":{"rendered":"Tottenham move quickly to replace Paratici and boost Thomas Frank&#8217;s team"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Tottenham Hotspur have announced the appointment of Carlos Raphael Moersen as director of football operations.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The post is a newly created role which the club say is part of their \u201capproach to build a modern, high-performance football structure which they believe will drive long-term success\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Sporting director, <a href=\"https:\/\/hayters.com\/fabio-paratici-to-leave-tottenham-for-fiorentina-in-february\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Johan Lange<\/a>, said: \u201cWe are delighted to welcome Rafi to the club in the newly created role of Director of Football Operations. He was the outstanding candidate from a highly competitive process and brings a wealth of experience in this critical area of our football operation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHis appointment is an important step as we continue to strengthen our football structure and support long-term success.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He joins from City Football Group, where he spent more than a decade in senior roles, most recently as director of football transactions.<\/p>\n<p>The news comes just a day after it was <a href=\"https:\/\/hayters.com\/fabio-paratici-to-leave-tottenham-for-fiorentina-in-february\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">confirmed that joint sporting director Fabio Paratici would be leaving the north London club<\/a> at the end of January.<\/p>\n<p>Moersen\u2019s appointment comes in tandem with the appointment of Dan Lewindon as performance director, who will join the club in February.<\/p>\n<p>He will lead football administration, player care, and training ground operations, and join the club\u2019s executive leadership team. A key part of his role will be overseeing women\u2019s football, with a brief to drive a renewed focus and ambition for Tottenham Hotspur Women.<\/p>\n<p>Increased investment in Tottenham\u2019s academy is a third strand to the major rebuild which they hope will have a long-term boost to first-team manager Thomas Frank\u2019s attempt to make the first team competitive again.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Tottenham Hotspur have announced the appointment of Carlos Raphael Moersen as director of football operations.
