{"id":698252,"date":"2026-01-15T18:59:16","date_gmt":"2026-01-15T18:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/698252\/"},"modified":"2026-01-15T18:59:16","modified_gmt":"2026-01-15T18:59:16","slug":"keystone-kash-spews-word-salad-to-reveal-leaker-arrest","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/698252\/","title":{"rendered":"Keystone Kash Spews Word Salad to Reveal Leaker Arrest"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">FBI Director Kash Patel shared a bizarrely worded post stating that the bureau searched the home of a reporter while bragging about the arrest of a government contractor accused of leaking classified material.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The FBI showed up early on Wednesday at the home of Washington Post reporter Hannah Natanson, where agents seized devices, including her phone, along with her work and personal laptops.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Hours later, Patel touted the arrest of the government contractor but also indicated the investigation was ongoing as First Amendment experts warned about the administration\u2019s escalating intrusion on the freedom of the press.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThe government contractor alleged to have illegally retained and leaked classified, sensitive military op information to a reporter has been arrested,\u201d Patel wrote on X. \u201cInvestigation ongoing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">The close Trump ally turned top law enforcement official also wrote, \u201cCompromising the safety of our war fighters and America\u2019s national security will be met with the full weight of justice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">His post included a screen grab of the Fox News headline, \u201cWashington Post reporter\u2019s home searched by FBI.\u201d Patel has a history of rushing to social media to post on active investigations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Attorney General Pam Bondi shared early on Wednesday that the search of the reporter\u2019s home was done at the request of the Defense Department.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">\u201cThis past week, at the request of the Department of War, the Department of Justice and FBI executed a search warrant at the home of a Washington Post journalist who was obtaining and reporting classified and illegally leaked information from a Pentagon contractor,\u201d Bondi wrote. \u201cThe leaker is currently behind bars.
