A heartbroken sister has paid tribute to her much-loved brother after he was stabbed to death in Birmingham<\/a> – as a crowdfunder is launched in his memory.<\/p>\n

Chris Ikouara, 19, was knifed at an address and tragically died at the scene on Olton Boulevard East, in Acocks Green<\/a>, on Tuesday, January 13.<\/p>\n

West Midlands Police<\/a> have since named and pictured Zachariah Liburd, 22, as a suspect wanted as part of their investigation.<\/p>\n

Chris’s sister Jennifer has now told how their family is “devastated and struggling to process this sudden and violent loss”.<\/p>\n

A GoFundMe page<\/a> has been set up to cover funeral and memorial costs. It has already raised over \u00a31,600.<\/p>\n

In a post online, she wrote: “It breaks my heart to share this, but my brother was taken from us after being stabbed.<\/p>\n

“Chris was only 19 years old. Our family is devastated and struggling to process this sudden and violent loss.<\/p>\n

“He was more than what happened to him, he was a son, an uncle, a friend, and someone deeply loved.<\/p>\n

“His life was taken far too soon, and our world has been turned upside down since the stabbing happened on Tuesday 13\/01\/2026.<\/p>\n

“We are asking for support to help cover funeral and memorial expenses, as well as to help our family stay afloat during this incredibly painful time.<\/p>\n

“Any funds raised will go directly toward honouring his life and easing the financial burden we are facing as we grieve.<\/p>\n

Det Supt Jim Munro, from the police’s homicide unit said: \u201cI would urge Liburd to do the right thing. Come forward before we find you.<\/p>\n

\u201cHighly trained officers are following a number of lines of enquiry, and we\u2019re grateful for the public\u2019s help so far.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat we need now is for anyone with information on Liburd, no matter how insignificant you think it might be \u2013 to get in touch with us straight away.<\/p>\n

\u201cInformation will be treated in confidence. But if anyone is helping Liburd avoid us you should know you will also face arrest and prosecution.\u201d<\/p>\n
