A car was flipped over onto its roof in a dramatic crash in a 20mph zone in Tameside<\/a> on Thursday evening (January 15). Emergency crews, including police, paramedics and fire crews, attended the smash on Katherine Street in Ashton-under-Lyne.<\/p>\n

Pictures and videos shared online show a black car that appeared to have flipped entirely onto its roof in the middle of the road. The street was closed by police amid the emergency response.<\/p>\n

Two other vehicles were also involved. One person was treated by paramedics from the North West Ambulance Service but the nature of their condition has not been confirmed.<\/p>\n

Debris was seen scattered across the road as horrified witnesses rushed to help. Emergency services had been called to the incident at around 5.30pm which involved three vehicles.<\/p>\n

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: \u201cShortly after 5:30pm this evening (Thursday 15 January), one fire engine and the Technical Response Unit from Ashton<\/a> Community Fire Station were called to attend a road traffic collision involving three vehicles on Katherine Street, Ashton.<\/p>\n

\u201cCrews arrived quickly and worked alongside Greater Manchester Police<\/a> to make the area safe. One casualty was transferred into the care of North West Ambulance Service. Firefighters were in attendance for around an hour.\u201d<\/p>\n
