Police have charged four men with acting as a pedlar without a pedlar\u2019s certificate in connection with incidents across Gower(Image: MediaWales)<\/p>\n
Four men have been charged in connection with a series of incidents where cold-callers have been knocking on people’s doors and acting suspiciously and, in some cases, aggressively while trying to sell items.<\/p>\n
The four people – aged in their 20s and 30s and from Reading, Middlesborough, and Stock-on-Tees – have been charged with acting as a pedlar without a pedlar\u2019s certificate. One of the men has also been charged with possession of cannabis.<\/p>\n
The charges follow reports from householders in Mumbles and villages across Gower<\/a>.<\/p>\n South Wales Police<\/a> detective inspector Tom Richardson thanked residents for their “diligence and willingness to report” the problem.<\/p>\n He said: “These four men aroused suspicion due to their behaviour and made local residents feel uncomfortable. We thank residents for their diligence and willingness to report this to police.<\/p>\n Reporting to and engaging with the police is invaluable in helping us keep our communities safe.
