\n Details of Mullan\u2019s bravery can be revealed since Dylan, 29-year-old Bennett, was jailed for 18 months after admitting two counts of assault at Glasgow Sheriff Court<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n \n READ MORE:<\/strong> Cosmetics factory in England to close after 150 years and move to Scotland<\/a>\n<\/p>\n \n The Peterhead-born actor said that when he went over to confront Bennett over his concern for the female\u2019s safety, the 29-year-old \u201cknocked\u201d his cap off before headbutting him.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n However, Mullan told the court that he stood his ground following the attack, which \u201cscared the life out\u201d of Bennett, who then began \u201cwhimpering\u201d.\n<\/p>\n \n The police arrived shortly after the incident and arrested Bennett.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cI was walking past and saw what was going on,\u201d Mullan said, according to the Scottish Sun.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cHe was pulling his girlfriend all over the shop.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cI couldn\u2019t, in all good conscience, walk away from what I was seeing.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cSo, I went over to him and said, \u2018look, the cops have been called. Why don\u2019t you just walk away?\u2019\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cHe then knocked the cap off my head.\u201d\n<\/p>\n \n Mullan explained he then challenged Bennett to pick his hat back up and hand it back to him.\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cThat\u2019s when he nutted me,\u201d Mullan continued.\u00a0\u00a0\n<\/p>\n \n \u201cHe got me a cracker but I didn\u2019t go down. That scared the life out of him.
