That\u2019s not democracy\u2014it\u2019s tyranny in disguise,\u201d he wrote in a post on X.<\/p>\n<p> <a href=\"https:\/\/mseducationacademy.in\/new-admission\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" style=\"display: block;\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml,%3Csvg%20xmlns=\" http:=\"\" alt=\"MS Creative School\" width=\"336\" height=\"280\" style=\"width: auto; max-height: 280px;\" data-lazy-src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/MS-Intermediate.webp.webp\"\/> <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat is truly extremist is not the popular AfD\u2014which took second in the recent election\u2014but rather the establishment\u2019s deadly open border immigration policies that the AfD opposes.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cGermany should reverse course,\u201d Rubio added.<\/p>\n<p>The tweet by Rubio comes in response to Germany\u2019s domestic intelligence agency\u2019s finding, based on a 1,100 page expert report, that AfD is \u201cracist\u201d and \u201canti-Muslim\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The classification of the party as an extremist entity allows authorities to increase their surveillance, including by recruiting confidential informants and intercepting communications.<\/p>\n<p>It is not the first time a high-level Trump administration official has aligned themselves with the far-right party.<\/p>\n<p>Both US Vice-President J.D. Vance and Elon Musk have voiced support for the AfD.<\/p>\n<p>Germany\u2019s domestic intelligence agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution (BfV), announced on Friday that it has officially classified the far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party as a confirmed right-wing extremist organisation at the national level.<\/p>\n<p>The AfD had previously been designated as a \u201csuspicion case\u201d federally, though several of its regional branches had already been classified as right-wing extremist entities.<\/p>\n<p>The BfV said its conclusion was the result of a thorough expert review conducted over nearly three years.<\/p>\n<p>According to German public broadcaster ARD, the BfV\u2019s assessment is detailed in a report exceeding 1,000 pages.<\/p>\n<p>The agency concluded that the AfD\u2019s prevailing \u201cethnic-based concept of the people\u201d is incompatible with Germany\u2019s liberal democratic basic order.<\/p>\n<p>In response to the decision, AfD co-leaders Alice Weidel and Tino Chrupalla condemned the move as a serious blow to democracy.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, they said the party would continue to challenge the classification through legal means, describing it as a \u201cdemocracy-endangering defamation\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The AfD currently enjoys strong support in public opinion polls.
