Returning to Glasgow next weekend is the Scottish National Whisky Festival<\/a>, landing squarely amidst the city\u2019s Burns Night celebrations and the Celtic Connections trad music festival.\n<\/p>\n

This latest Glasgow visit by SNWF, which runs annual events<\/a> all over Scotland, will take place across multiple spaces within the\u00a0SWG3\u00a0events hub on Saturday 24 January.\n<\/p>\n

As SNWF\u2019s flagship edition, event offers festival-goers the opportunity to sample literally hundreds of whiskies from world-renowned distilleries and independent bottlers.\n<\/p>\n

There will also be guest spirits and experimental flavours across the exhibitor line up, plus local food offerings and \u2018tantalising creations\u2019 from world class mixologists.\n<\/p>\n

Highlights for this year\u2019s show include a first look at \u2018something very special\u2019 from Ardbeg; Elixir Distillers hosting a seminar on their new Elixir Trails range; Lochlea offering festival goers insights into what it\u2019s like to operate as an independent distillery today; and for the first time, Bushmills showcasing a range of Irish Whiskeys at the festival.\n<\/p>\n

In collaboration with Celtic Connections, the Glasgow SNWF will feature a full bill of live music from celebrated Scottish performers.

There will also be an on-site whisky shop with a selection of bottles to take home, including festival exclusive bottlings, courtesy of SNWF\u2019s partner retailer Select Drams.\n<\/p>\n

Festival co-ordinator Alexander Thompson said:\u00a0\u201cThis year\u2019s show promises to be an absolute corker, filled to the brim with world class whisky, music and culture.\n<\/p>\n
