A man has been rushed to hospital following an assault<\/a> in north Manchester. Emergency services swarmed Halliwell Lane, in Cheetham Hill<\/a>, this morning (January 17).<\/p>\n

Officers were called out to reports of an assault at around 8.30am. Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says a man in his 20s was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.<\/p>\n

His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening, police say. Images from the scene show a stretch of Halliwell Lane taped off, with a GMP van and an ambulance in attendance.<\/p>\n

It’s understood additional police and ambulance service vehicles were also in attendance. An air ambulance was pictured landing nearby.<\/p>\n

No arrests have been made so far and police are continuing with their enquiries. A GMP spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of an assault at Halliwell Lane, Cheetham Hill, at about 8:30am this morning.<\/p>\n

“A man in his 20s was treated at the scene and is now in hospital where his injuries aren’t believed to be life threatening.
