The 76-year-old, who has Parkinson&#8217;s Disease and chronic pain in his spine, has now revealed he may be forced to remain seated for his entire set.<\/p>\n<p>The former <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Black Sabbath\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/black-sabbath\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Black Sabbath<\/a> frontman once sold millions of albums and toured prolifically, but to his dismay, his worsening health forced him to take a back seat, a decision which was supported by his wife and manager <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" title=\"Sharon Osbourne\" href=\"https:\/\/www.express.co.uk\/latest\/sharon-osbourne\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sharon Osbourne<\/a>. Now, ahead of his Back To The Beginning show, held on July 5 in his home city of Birmingham, he has opened up on how the gruelling surgeries he&#8217;s had have affected him. The frustrated No More Tears singer exclaimed: &#8220;I\u2019ve got more f*****g metal in me than a scrap merchants.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He continued to the <a data-link-tracking=\"InArticle|Link\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/music\/2025\/may\/01\/ozzy-osbourne-final-concert-july-health-doubts-black-sabbath\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Guardian<\/a> that he &#8220;may be sitting down&#8221; for the show, explaining: &#8220;I\u2019ll be there, and I\u2019ll do the best I can&#8230; all I can do is turn up.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>After a string of surgeries Sharon described as &#8220;horrendous&#8221;, she suggested the comeback concert &#8220;to give me a reason to get up in the morning&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Now he&#8217;s expected to play a short solo set, followed by a longer performance with his ex-bandmates Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward.<\/p>\n<p>They&#8217;ll triumphantly play live together as a quartet for the first time in two decades &#8211; and now he just has to hope that his health will hold up.<\/p>\n<p>Ozzy had particularly wanted to play a final poignant performance as a symbol of &#8220;gratitude&#8221; to his loyal fans, explaining that he couldn&#8217;t stand the idea of not being able to say one last &#8220;goodbye&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>To prepare for the show, he&#8217;s been trying gentle weight-lifting and bike riding and is warming up with a professional vocal coach four times a week &#8211; but it&#8217;s been a challenge and a huge expenditure of energy.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I\u2019ve been lying on my back doing nothing and the first thing to go is your strength.
