Onlookers have reported seeing a ‘puddle of blood’ on the pavement after a Stockport<\/a> road was taped off by police. Vernon Road in Bredbury<\/a> was closed this evening (Saturday) following the incident.<\/p>\n

A cordon was put in place near The Queens pub with two police vans at the scene. It’s thought the incident is not connected with the pub.<\/p>\n

One witness said: “I don’t know what’s happened but I was stood quite a distance away and I could see clearly see a puddle of blood on the pavement opposite the pub. There was quite a significant amount of blood.<\/p>\n

“There were two police vans there and one of the policemen told they’d been there since 4pm.”<\/p>\n

In a post on Facebook around 4pm The Queens said: “Due to an incident on Vernon road the front doors are closed to the pub however the back doors are open the front doors will re open as soon as possible.”<\/p>\n
