\nPresident Emmanuel Macron on Saturday called for an immediate halt to the
\nSyrian government\u2019s offensive against the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF),
\nstressing that France and Europe cannot support the \u201ccontinuation of such an
\napproach.\u201d<\/p>\n
Since
\nDecember 2025, Syria\u2019s Aleppo has experienced rising tensions between
\ngovernmental factions and the Kurdish-led SDF, resulting in at least 24 deaths
\nand around 129 injuries, according to the city\u2019s Health Directorate.<\/p>\n
In a post
\non X, Macron stated that a united and stable Syria requires integrating the
\nSDF, \u201cnot waging war on those who fought ISIS alongside us.\u201d<\/p>\n

\nthat a comprehensive agreement could be possible, describing the recent Syrian
\npresidential decree on Kurdish rights as a step in the right direction.<\/p>\nEarlier,
\na decree issued by Syrian transitional President Ahmad Al-Sharaa recognized<\/a>
\nKurdish as a national language, restored Syrian citizenship to individuals of
\nKurdish origin, and designated Nowruz, celebrated on March 21, as an official
\npublic holiday. The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES),
\nhowever, rejected<\/a> the decree, arguing that it \u201ccannot constitute a true
