Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.

Joe Walsh: 7

Following an encouraging performance in the FA Cup against West Ham, this was another very decent showing by Walsh, who produced a useful first-half save and dealt with balls into his area well.

Amadou Mbgenue: 5

Had problems at right-back, where his positioning was poor at times. His crossing was also wayward, but he stuck at it and competed well as always.

Jimmy Dunne: 7

The Rangers captain did really well, winning countless challenges and providing leadership at the back.

Steve Cook: 7

Also delivered a very good performance as Rangers kept Stoke at bay. Played very well at West Ham and his follow-up display suggests a return to form for the veteran defender.

Rhys Norrington-Davies: 6

Was given problems on the flank but never gives up and always looks to offer something going forward. Created a second-half chance when a purposeful run occupied Stoke defenders and opened space for Paul Smyth.

Karamoko Dembele: 5

Poor before going off in the second half. Made little impact going forward and didn’t offer any defensive cover either.

Isaac Hayden: 5

A disappointing performance, particularly after playing well against West Ham. He looked off the pace throughout.

Nicolas Madsen: 7

As poor as Hayden for much of the first half, as Stoke dominated, but came to life in the second, with some precise passing and good movement.

Paul Smyth: 5

His work ethic is important, but too often Smyth made the wrong choice on the ball – and he missed a decent chance when he fired over.

Richard Kone: 5

Fluffed a chance when it came his way and generally seemed jaded.

Rayan Kolli: 5

Struggled to get into the game and wasn’t helped by a lack of quality in midfield and out wide.

Daniel Bennie: 6

Worked hard after coming on as a substitute.

Get the latest direct to your phone – follow West London Sport’s WhatsApp channel

Follow

QPR defended well and picked up a point in a turgid goalless draw at Stoke.
