{"id":704363,"date":"2026-01-18T14:07:14","date_gmt":"2026-01-18T14:07:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/704363\/"},"modified":"2026-01-18T14:07:14","modified_gmt":"2026-01-18T14:07:14","slug":"plans-to-build-three-homes-between-dereham-and-fakenham","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/704363\/","title":{"rendered":"Plans to build three homes between Dereham and Fakenham"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n  Plans have been put forward to build three new homes on land near Litcham Road in Mileham.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Each property will include an associated garage as well as parking spaces and a good-sized garden.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The application marks the second time that properties have been earmarked for the area after previous plans for seven homes were refused.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It was said that the development would erode &#8220;the intrinsic character and beauty of the countryside&#8221; as well as be &#8220;detrimental to highway safety&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   width=\"100%\"\/>The location of the proposed development (Image: Jason Parker (Meadows))\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A planning statement on behalf of the applicant, David Marshall, said the reduction of homes from seven to three was &#8220;more suitable&#8221; for the site.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  It added that the proposed development would &#8220;support the continued use of local community facilities.&#8221;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The land earmarked for the homes is near the remains of Mileham Castle, a motte and bailey castle\u00a0which was constructed around 1100.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  The plans can be viewed in full on the Breckland Council planning portal, using the reference: PL\/2025\/1956\/OMIN.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Plans have been put forward to build three new homes on land near Litcham Road in Mileham.
