Pound 4 Pound<\/a> podcast, Usman elaborated on why he felt the need to apologize.<\/p>\n\u201cIt was a tough enough situation to where I had to make a public apology, which I\u2019ve never done, ever,\u201d Usman said. \u201cBecause I\u2019ve never been in a situation where I had to do something like that. But it was necessary. It was necessary because the biggest thing as a man, I feel like you have to take responsibility when you\u2019ve messed up. Whether it was accidental or not accidental, you have to take that full responsibility. And I had to and I did that. I was angry for a lot of different situations.<\/p>\n
\u201cOne, I was angry that I even\u2014That was an oversight on my part by not watching my full video vlog that was out to understand that that was in there. So I was angry because that\u2019s my fault because anything that goes out on my channel I am ultimately responsible for. So I\u2019m angry that I missed that.\u201d<\/p>\n
Usman emphasized that he did not blame anyone on his video team for the mishap as the final call for what goes up on his YouTube channel is his to make.<\/p>\n
More than any criticism directed at him though, Usman was upset to see that Joshua was being attacked for the vlog appearance.<\/p>\n
\u201cSecond of all, I was angry because I had now put my brother, my Nigerian brother \u2018AJ\u2019 in another situation,\u201d Usman said. \u201cFor people to be judging and saying certain things, \u2018Why does he seem this way? Why does he seem that way?\u2019 I was angry hearing and seeing all of that.<\/p>\n
\u201cMost importantly, I was just angry at myself for even giving them a lane to even try to attack him in that way. So, I take full responsibility. I can\u2019t apologize enough. I feel terrible. I\u2019m still feeling terrible because that\u2019s my character. It\u2019s something that I don\u2019t play with and I would never let someone try to attack my integrity for something like that.\u201d<\/p>\n
